Thamesmead festival

For Thamesmead Festival 2025, Paige was commissioned to design a set of six vibrant flags and a large fabric banner to signpost Eclectic Avenue—a dedicated area of the festival celebrating local creatives, community groups, nature initiatives, and live acoustic music.

Each flag was designed with playful, Thamesmead-inspired illustrations, featuring iconic local elements such as foxes, swans, Brutalist architecture, and native flora. These were paired with bold words like pride, belong, roots, imagine, and play—reflecting the spirit of the area and the festival itself.

Flying proudly on tall flagpoles, and accompanied by a large, welcoming banner, the installation brought a burst of colour and identity to the space—inviting visitors in and highlighting the creativity and community that make Thamesmead unique.
