My Impressions

A Creative Printmaking Project with HFT

My Impressions is a joyful and empowering creative workshop series developed in collaboration with HFT – Learning Disability Allies, supporting adults with learning disabilities to explore self-expression through printmaking.

Through a series of relaxed and accessible workshops, participants were invited to reflect on themes such as “What makes me special?”“What do I love about myself?”, and “What are my talents and achievements?”. Using simple, descriptive prompts and hands-on printmaking techniques, each person created artwork that celebrated their identity, uniqueness, and creativity.

The aim of the project was to build confidence, encourage self-expression, and provide a space where everyone’s voice could be seen and celebrated through art.

The final outcome is a set of vibrant printed banners, showcasing each participant’s personal 'impression'. These artworks will take centre stage at an upcoming local art showcase, offering the wider community a chance to see, appreciate, and connect with the creativity and stories of the group.
